Judy E. Spears, M.S.,

Judy E.
Spears graduated from Mississippi University
for Women with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Hearing and Speech Science. She was awarded a
full scholarship to the University of Southern
Mississippi graduate program where she
received her Master's degree in
Audiology.
Judy has been in Audiology practice in the
Atlanta area since 1973. She was the first
audiologist to dispense hearing aids in
Atlanta under the guidelines of the American
Speech and Hearing Association. Since 1997 she
has been with Northside Hearing Center and is
affiliated with the physicians of Northside
Ear, Nose and Throat. She holds current state
licensure and certification from the American
Speech and Hearing Association to practice
Audiology. Other affiliations include the
American Academy of Audiology and the Georgia
Academy of Audiology.
Judy is committed to providing the latest
technology and the highest standard of care
for her patients. Her dedication has made a
difference in the lives of many hearing
impaired people in metro Atlanta.
Lesa F. Kagan, Au.D.,
FAAA
Dr. Lesa
Kagan graduated from the University of
Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Communication Disorders. She received her
Master's Degree in Audiology from the
University of Illinois and her Clinical
Doctorate in Audiology from the Arizona School
of Health Sciences.
Lesa has over 20 years of experience in a
variety of clinical settings including hearing
aid manufacturing, medical and private
audiology practices. She specializes in
diagnostics and hearing aid services for the
adult population. Lesa holds current state
licensure and certification through the
American Speech Language Hearing Association,
the American Academy of Audiology and the
Georgia Academy of Audiology.
Lesa brings her outgoing personality and
charisma to the practice, making each visit
pleasant and successful. With her exceptional
knowledge and ongoing training, she delivers
the latest and best technology available to
our patients.
Lori
Timmerman, M.A., FAAA
Lori Timmerman graduated from Purdue
University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Audiology and Speech Language
Pathology. She completed her Masters Degree in
Audiology in 1993 at Ball State
University.
Lori joined Northside Hearing Center of
Northside ENT (formerly Atlanta ENT) in
February of 2006. For the past seven years,
she worked at Siemen’s Hearing
Instruments providing hearing instrument
technical support and dispensing advice to
hearing healthcare providers. Prior to that,
Lori worked at Otolaryngology Associates in
Indianapolis, Indiana where she performed
diagnostic testing and fitted hearing
instruments. Lori holds current state
licensure and obtained certification from the
American Speech and Hearing Association to
practice Audiology. She is a member of the
American Academy of Audiology and the American
Speech and Hearing Association.
Maureen C. Riski,
Au.D.
Dr. Maureen Riski
graduated from Purdue University with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Audiology and
Speech Language Pathology. She earned her
Master's degree in Audiology from the
University of Virginia and her Clinical
Doctorate from the Arizona School of Health
Science.
Dr. Riski has over 20 years of experience as a
clinical audiologist. She has worked in both
hospitals and ENT practices. While working art
the University of North Carolina hospitals she
established an infant hearing-screening
program. Working with the pediatric hearing
impaired and their families is of special
interest for this audiologist. Since being in
Georgia she has concentrated on pediatric and
adult hearing aid evaluations and
fittings.
Dr. Riski has published three children's
picture books that are available to the
public. Patrick Get Hearing Aids,
Oliver Gets FM, and most recently, Abby Gets a Cochlear
Implant. These books have been read by
thousands, and have helped educate and
entertain young children.
